My Holy Grail Lip Product - Nyx Matte Lipsticks

As a self confessed lipstick junkie, I've tried a fair few lip products in my time.

Late last year, I purchased my first Nyx Matte Lipstick, in the shade Mason, after trying to find a cruelty free dupe for MAC stone. It was love as first application, and the colour was spot on.

NYX Matte Lipstick - Maison

Since then, I have purchased another three shades. Spirit, Alabama and Perfect Red.

The Nyx Matte lipsticks not only give an amazing colour pay off, but  incredible staying power too.
The formula is thick but creamy; making it super easy to apply. Although, if you want to be precise with the darker colours, I would recommend using a lip brush.

I feel like with some matte lip products the opacity of the product can lack a little, meaning you need to apply a couple of coats, or go in pretty heavy handed. With these, that isn't a problem at all.

NYX Matte Lipstick - Perfect Red

I have tried and tested these lipsticks through the longest, busiest days, and they've never let me down. You can eat and drink until you're belly is full with these babies on. Ok, so they can wear off a little in the centre of your lips, but a little reapplication is there, and it's nothing compared to being left with the 'I only lined my lips today' kind of look.

Another characteristic of a matte lipstick is usually how drying it can be. Again, these don't give you that problem. Because the formula is so creamy, they are really comfortable to wear. You certainly don't end up feeling like you are living in the Sahara.

NYX Matte Lipstick - Spirit

With over 25 shades to chose from, you have plenty of options. They generally retail at £6.50, which for an amazing cruelty free, matte lip product that stays all day, you can't really complain.

If you want to try one for yourself, you can order them online at Boots; and if you're lucky enough, you may even be able to find them in your local Boots store. Unfortunately, my local hasn't got a Nyx stand yet, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
But, I know for a fact that I'll be buying more of these in the very near future.
